Certification

Elements First Aid is an established training centre approved and quality assured by 'ITC First' to deliver fully accredited first aid courses and qualifications.

ITC First is an Awarding Organisation that develops qualifications and supports, approves, verifies and quality assures training centres to deliver environment specific first aid courses and accredited qualifications.

Qualifications can become part of Qualification Credit Frameworks, regulated by Ofqual (official regulator of qualifications in England, Wales and Northern Ireland) or the SQA (Scottish Qualifications Authority).

First aid qualifications regulated by OfQual can be found on the Qualifications & Credit Framework (QCF) and qualifications regulated by the SQA can be found on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).

Elements First Aid is also approved to deliver the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) first aid course and the British Canoe Union (BCU) first aid courses.

What about the HSE?

On the 1st October 2013 the HSE (Health and Safety Executive) first aid regulations changed.  The HSE no longer 'approve' first aid trainers, training companies or courses.

The HSE advises that individuals and employers carry out a 'due diligence' check list to ensure that the training company is competent to provide first aid training for you.

HOWEVER, due to awarding organisations offering 'regulated qualifications' you DO NOT have to use this checklist in order to satisfy yourself of the competency of that organisation.

Elements First Aid is a training centre approved by an awarding organisation (ITC First) which means that you so not need to carry out a 'due diligence' check list and can be sure that we are regulated to the highest standards.
